It is with sadness that we share the sad news that Father Chris Toms, Administrator of St Mary Magdalen's Parish, Jordanville, passed away suddenly on Sunday 20th October.
After his ordination on the 24th May 1975, Fr Chris served in a number of Parishes across the archdiocese, including as Assistant Priest at Holy Family from 1981 - 1983. He is still fondly remembered by many Parishioners.
At this time we join the people of St Mary Magdalen's Parish and Fr Chris's family in praying for him, that for his years of dedicated service, he may now be received into the loving embrace of his Lord.
O God, listen favourably to our prayers offered on behalf of your servant and priest, and grant that Fr Chris, who committed himself jealously to the service of your name, may rejoice forever in the company of the saints.
Funeral details will be advertised when known.
Eternal Rest Grant unto him o Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
Over the next few weeks, Fr Pearce will be assisting with weekday masses on Tuesdays and Thursdays at St Mary Magdalen's Parish, which will necessitate some small changes to our weekly mass schedule.
